Gallagher Convention Centre rocks with Castle Lite
On 9TH December 2011, Castle Lite hosted the Feel the Beat of Sub Zero Experience featuring Grammy nominee Drake live at Gallagher Convention Centre.This was a one night only experience, which drew thousands of fans to the venue.
The experience, which called for all of its attendees to dress in white, was a huge online success and featured 35 664 online mentions prior to the occasion. Of these online conversations 90% took place on Twitter. The Castle Lite Feel the beat of Sub Zero experience successfully broke the world record for the most people dressed in white for a cause, with 3889 attendees at 22h30. The purpose of the successful world record attempt was to create awareness about drinking and driving and to change the way people behave during the weekend.
Local acts Mi Casa, George Avakian, Khuli Chana and Morafe warmed up the crowd, keeping them entertained and energised before the Canadian star took the stage.To the large crowd’s delight Drake, or affectionately known as Drizzy to his loyal fans, provided a world class performance.
