Recognition for Gallagher at the EXSA 2009 Awards
In November the Exhibition and Event Association of South Africa (EXSA) held their annual awards ceremony at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand.Industry role players and key decision makers attended the ceremony. Gallagher Convention Centre walked away with two of the most popular awards.Adolf Venter, acting CEO of Gallagher is very pleased with the accolades: “We feel honoured to have received recognition by winning these coveted awards, which motivates us to an even greater degree to strive towards continued excellence. It was also wonderful to share in the excitement of other award winners.”
The evening acknowledged the accomplishments of EXSA members during 2009. Gallagher won the award of ‘Best Exhibition Venue’ and Elaine Crewe shares the title of ‘Best Exhibition Venue Employee’ with Adene Pringle from Sandton Convention Centre.
“Our industry is constantly evolving and events such as these serve as an effective platform for companies and individuals in the industry to showcase their potential. I would like to extend my congratulations to all of the winners and to EXSA for hosting such a prestigious event. Over the years the industry has enjoyed significant growth and will continue to do so, especially due to the fact that 2010 will open up new doors of opportunity in the exhibition and event sector. I also wish to congratulate Elaine Crewe on her award as ‘Best Exhibition Venue Employee’. This award acknowledges her dedication and hard work, emphasizing that devoted staff form an important part of our success,” concludes Venter.

Gallagher Favourite Again- Exsa Awards 2010
The Exhibition Association of Southern Africa recently hosted their annual awards ceremony, held at Emperor’s Palace in the East of Johannesburg.
The gala evening was attended by many professionals from the exhibitions and events industry. Award categories included Memorable Events, Best Infrastructure Supplier, Best Exhibition and the Hall of Fame.
Gallagher Convention Centre was named the Best Venue 2010, for the second year running.
“We are excited about winning this award for the second year, as it speaks of the confidence the industry has in our abilities. We are convinced that, with recent investments in infrastructure and skills development, we will again live up to the award,” comments Adolf Venter, Chief Executive of Gallagher.
This was not the only award that was bestowed upon Gallagher during the ceremony. Elaine Crewe received the coveted Best Exhibition Venue Employee 2010, also for the second year running.
“We are very proud of these achievements. Our hard work and high standards are paying off,” concludes Venter.
